Is a travel photographer based out of Upstate New York. A student at SUNY Plattsburgh, Mike Herring studies Photography, Cultural Anthropology, and Expeditionary Studies. He has spent the past four years traveling around the globe, capturing unique photographs along the way. Recently, he worked as a team member of The Explorers Club Flag #208 Expedition: “In the Shadow of Isolation: The Indigenous Matis Tribe of Brazil” beginning a field study of tools, materials, and healing practices

Along with an extensive travel background, Mike Herring also strives for educating himself in various outdoor disciplines. Herring is an EMT, licensed paragliding pilot, a rock climber, and holds a variety of guiding/instructing certifications in the paddling industry.
