"Photographer", "traveler", "explorer", "artist", etc. As we are granted (or quite often grant ourselves) these titles, it is imperative to remind ourselves of our humility and our intentions. Striving to keep these titles, we often forget our reasoning behind why we do the things we do. I believe we must always come back to an essential question:
Why do I have the need to share my photography? What purpose does this website have?
As of right now, I don't have a consistent answer. As a result, this website exists in somewhat of a state of limbo. My intentions are to share interesting stories with the public and potentially inspire others to live a less conventional, yet more exciting and fulfilling lifestyle. I will find a way to construct this website in the best manner in order to achieve that goal.
However, I can ensure to never use this platform as a means to brag, boast, or frame myself in an unrealistic manner. Far too often we use social media to shout from the virtual hilltops, "Look at me! Look at me!". We search for validation, fame, and the feeling of be 'above' the rest of our community. I feel many of us forget our original intentions as to why we share with one another. Far too often, we forget to enjoy the process because we're only focused on the "prize" of receiving likes, shares, and more recognition after we post. The more energy we waste trying to convince people we're special, valuable, above the rest, etc., the less time and energy we have to actually do something productive with our lives.
Take Photos for You. Live Life for You. Share for Others.
Please enjoy the galleries of my past trips and please feel free to contact me if you wish. (Notice: Depending on when you're viewing this, be aware that some albums may be unavailable. My apologies, but they should be back up soon.)
